Nanjing Jiayuan Electric Vehicle & Ship Manufacturing Co., Ltd used to be Jiayuan Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. After nearly twenty years of research and development, our founders have greatly improved the entire car technology and the driving system technology, and implemented them into industrialized production. They have also matured various products like electrical motors, controllers, and batteries, etc. Up to now, we have established our commercial products manufactured by our cooperated companies. The indices and reliability of these products have reached the leading level home and abroad after five years of experiments under operating conditions. The current cost of each electric car produced by our company is 37,000 US$, which can run 180 km (lead-acid battery) or 360 km (lithium battery) for one charge of the battery, whose highest speed is 140 km/hour and climbing grade is 21%. Our luxurious air-conditioned electric bus is equipped with a 45-130 kw electromotor, whose highest speed is 95 km/h, continuous drive is 180 km (lead-acid battery) or 360 km (lithium battery), climbing grade 21%, and which can speed from 0 km/hr to 50km/hr in less than 40 seconds. The cost of such kind of bus is similar to the price of its counterpart powered by fuel, which ranges from 360,000 yuan to 1,200,000 yuan. Jiayuan Electric Vehicle & Ship Manufacturing Co., Ltd is now able to produce 300 various buses every year. In addition to that, we also produce other kinds of special electric carts, such as electric tourist carts, golf carts, supermarket carts, electric street wheelchairs, electric bicycles and tricycles, etc. The manufacturing and experimenting factory for Jiayuan used to be a state-owned bus manufacturer, who has more than 30-year experience of manufacturing cars and is staffed with qualified technicians. Our current products and driving system have been sold to many foreign countries and areas, such as the US, Britain, Germany, South Korea and Hong Kong, etc.
In 2000, one of our products, JY-6391 electric car, was displayed in China International Exhibit of Electric Cars and Vehicle Parts, held in Guang Da Exhibition Center, Shanghai. This car is equipped with a 11 km electrical motor and a lead-acid battery, which can run 300 km if charged once and whose highest speed is 116 km/hr. It was the only car in the exhibit that can be driven. A special driver showed his driving skill on it and many audience tried. It gained a great deal of publicity and good comments at the exhibit.
In April 2001, we brought out a seven-meter long electric bus at the second China International Environmental Vehicle Exhibit in Beijing. Loaded with lead-acid battery and JYD-37 electrical motor, the car¡¯s continuous driving mileage is 180 km, highest speed 85 km/hr, climbing grade 27%, maximum torque 405 nm.
In November 2001, three of our technicians drove one electric car from Nanjing to Xiangfan, Wuhan Province, in order to be tested at the testing center of China Second Motor Group there. It traveled more than one thousand km back and forth without any trouble. The data acquired at the testing center in Xiangfan were as follows: continuous driving mileage was 444.7 km, highest speed 97 km/hr, 11 kw AC electric motor. A testing certificate was also granted by the testing center.
In July 2002, our first AC driven electric bus went off the production line.
From May 2003, Jiayuan started exporting electric golf carts and special electric cars to Germany, Britain and South Korea.
Since January 2004, Jiayuan has received orders from different countries and areas and was ready to establish our base for large-scaled manufacturing and R&D in big cities along the east coast.
